Set within a stunning rural plot, this traditional farm cottage was carefully extended to support modern family living. The brief combined the creation of a self-contained annexe with a reconfigured layout and a new kitchen extension.

A seamless side extension doubled the footprint of the cottage, introducing a generous annexe at ground level and a new master suite above. The design carefully echoes the proportions, materials, and character of the original home, allowing the new spaces to sit comfortably within their countryside setting.

In contrast, the kitchen extension adopts a lighter, contemporary approach. Clean lines and expansive glazing flood the space with natural light and create a strong connection to the garden, achieving a thoughtful balance between traditional character and modern living.
